The Commonwealth of Learning’s (COL) Lifelong Learning for Farmers (L3F) initiative has achieved significant success in India since 2015. Partnering with over 130 organisations, including banks, NGOs, and farmer producer organisations, L3F has empowered farmers through mobile learning and credit-based programs. L3F 2.0 aims to address the evolving agricultural landscape, focusing on climate risks, digital transformation, shifting gender roles, and youth aspirations. A core team of 12-15 experts will develop a practical concept note/blueprint to be circulated among stakeholders, building partnerships for widespread implementation. Key emphasis areas include ethical data governance, ensuring farmers’ data ownership, and promoting data sovereignty in an AI-driven future.
